Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver?
You bet! We deliver to Calgary for a flat rate of $20 and to Foothills, Okotoks, Chestermere, Spring Bank, Bragg Creek - all of the communities surrounding Calgary for a flat rate of $30. Live outside of these areas? Drop us a line and we'll see if we can make a delivery happen.
Can I pick up my box?
Unfortunately, we do not offer pick up at this time.
Why do you use cedar to make your boxes?
We proudly use locally sourced, untreated Canadian cedar to make all of our boxes. Cedar is the best wood to use to grow your vegetables - it is foodsafe, it lasts and it looks beautiful.
Do you deliver dirt?
I don't know anything about gardening. Can I do this?
Yes! One of our main goals is to bring gardening to as many people as possible. It is therapeutic, it looks beautiful in your yard, it provides the opportunity for quality outdoor time and you get fresh, locally grown vegetables! We don't just sell you a garden box. We are here to support you all the way through your garden journey. We want you to succeed and will give you all of the tools to do so!
I do not have a flat spot in my yard. Can I still install the box?
We recommend installing the box on a flat surface. If you have a difficult slope or an area that needs some help with grading to make it flat, our sister company, Sol Landscaping, is here to help! Contact them via email at email@example.com or via phone at 403.700.5534 to discuss a quote for grading.
What are the differences between the Basic, Core and Ultimate packages?
The BASIC PACKAGE includes the garden box, wrapped, ready to assemble and delivered to your door.
How are Grow Your Garden and Sol Landscaping affiliated?
Sol Landscaping is the sister company of Grow Your Garden - Grow Your Garden provides some of the garden-specific services that Sol Landscaping does not. Sol Landscaping has been in operation since 2012, proudly serving wonderful clients in Calgary and surrounding communities. Do I need to treat the cedar?
Cedar is an amazing product. It does not need to be treated and will last for years. If you prefer a treated look, there are some natural options, like linseed oil, that will not impact or interfere with your vegetables.
